Your eyes are
windows into your body.
If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief,
your body fills up with light.
If you live squinty-eyed in greed and
distrust, your body is a dank cellar.
If you pull the blinds on your
windows, what a dark life you will have!
-Matthew 6:22-23 (the Message)
I just came home from the most amazing retreat experience of my life. I didn't go in with any expectations really & what happened... I couldn't have dreamed it up if I had tried. It was that stinkin' good.
So good... I still don't have words.
I want to talk about it.
I want to write about it.
But I just can't seem to put a complete sentence together except to say the Holy Spirit was moving in ways I've never experienced before. Oh, I do have words. Jumbled up & rattling around in my brain.
Accepting.
Kind.
Kind.
Listening.
Laughing.
Love.
Truth.
Transparency.
Tears.
Encouragement.
Prayer.
Healing.
Comfort.
Compassion.
Peace.
It is an extraordinary thing when God's people can come together & truly love on each other. Trust me when I say, you will never, can't ever be the same.
I'm still reeling from the beauty of it.
"You have not chosen one another, but I have chosen you for one another."
